What options do I have with the Pacifica's powertrain?

The 2018 Pacifica's standard powertrain combines an award-winning Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 engine with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The V6 puts out 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, and offers a class-leading tow capacity of up to 3,600 pounds! The gasoline powertrain also offers impressive fuel economy of up to 28 miles per gallon on the highway. For the greatest possible fuel efficiency, though, the only way to go is the Pacifica Hybrid. With the combination of a gasoline engine and a 16-kWh lithium-ion battery, the Pacifica hybrid achieves a fuel economy of up to 84 miles per gallon (equivalent) and a total driving range of up to 566 miles on a single tank! The Pacifica Hybrid also offers an electric-only driving range of up to 33 miles, allowing many short trips to be made with zero-emission power. As the first ever hybrid minivan, the Pacifica Hybrid is truly a one-of-a-kind option.

What trim levels and features are available for the 2018 Pacifica?

In 2018, the Chrysler Pacifica is offered in six main trims: The L, LX, Touring Plus, Touring L, Touring L Plus, and Limited. The Hybrid is only available in the Touring Plus, Touring L and Limited trims. Standard features on the base L trim include a 7-inch touchscreen interface, Bluetooth, USB and auxiliary connectivity, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, keyless entry and ignition, heated mirrors, and a rearview camera. More standard features and available packages are added on to each increasing trim, including a larger 8.4-inch touchscreen, a power liftgate, and an available rear entertainment system with two seatback touchscreens. Those seeking the most luxurious Pacifica experience can opt for the Limited trim, which comes standard with premium leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, hands-free power sliding doors and automatic liftgate, automatically dimming interior and exterior mirrors, xenon headlights, and an in-vehicle Stow n' Vac vacuum system. The Limited can also be enhanced with several add-on feature packages.

How does the Pacifica stack up in terms of safety?

In its first year of production, the Chrysler Pacifica was the only minivan to earn a "Top Safety Pick Plus" rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. This should be no surprise, as the Pacifica offers many safety features as standard that other vehicles don't offer at all, or only on higher trims. Standard safety features on the 2018 Pacifica include a rearview camera, rear parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, a suite of advanced airbags, rear cross path detection, rear parking assistance, and LATCH child safety seat tethers. Moving on through higher trims (or with available add-on packages) more advanced safety technology is available, such as Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning, LaneSense Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist, and a 360-degree camera.

We invite those people to come get behind the wheel of a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica. We're willing to bet that after a few minutes in a Pacifica, your opinions on minivans will be changed forever.
